Chartwell, which was restructured and is under new ownership and management, effectively commenced operations in mid 2005. Management pursues a growth strategy through acquisitions of assets, properties and access rights that can be synergistically combined and strategic relationships with those companies that focus on natural resources and land development.

Chartwell's operations and business activities are currently organized under one segment; Belville Mining Company acting as its operating subsidiary for its Midwest region.
